We are learning how to work at our Daily 5 stations during reading. This week we learned how to do read to self and read to someone.
We also set up our reader's and writer's notebooks. We began adding lots of great strategies and writing to our notebooks this week!
We practiced our new words for the week by playing some games where we were able to write on our desks with markers!
Today we all went to the gym to watch the students and teachers that are new to Velasquez slide into their dens! Lots of music and dancing was going on! The TIGERS are in the lead with den points this week!
It was a great start to our school year! I'm looking forward to another great week! Have a super weekend!
